I think it depends upon your individual response to these foods.
As I explained in my post on vegetarianism, I think it is
important to get enough omega-3 fats, and you won't get any in
your Safeway meats. You could add salmon and sardines to your
diet to make up the w-3 fats, and still use the supermarket beef.
That might be a reasonable (and affordable) compromise.
