I, personally, don't see the Web of Life as a hiearchical "food
chain." (Based on the Midieval "Great Chain of Being" no doubt). As a
supermarket scavanger I can claim no joy in preying on mamels, as I have
never eaten anything I've killed in my life. However, I do take great joy
in the consumption of their flesh. Birds, too.
We NeanderThins tend to see vegitarians as somehow disconnected
from the Web of Life, as if they are in rebellion against The Creator.
I really feel sorry for all the involunatry vegitarians in the world.
