The "too low" for cholesterol is just a guideline. Some people have
lower cholesterol naturally than others, no matter what they do - and some
have higher no matter what.
For example, even when I was a total pig, loading carbs and all types of
fats (think cookies, ice cream, etc), my cholesterol was never higher than
212. Today on low carb my cholesterol is 131. When I ate low fat back in
the mid '80's my cholesterol was 101. It is obvious to me that it is
natural for me to have a relatively low cholesterol level. I am healthy,
too.
Conversely, some people have high cholesterol levels that do no seem to be
affected by diet or exercise.
