It's not that NeanderThin dogmatically follows DeVany's analysis.  What
happens is that this is the way wight loss works.  A rapid drop at first,
followed my a more steady decline as weight decreeses.  So a 350 lb person
is going to loose as much as a pound a day (the upper limit to fat loss
without comprimizing LBM).  A 300 lbs person like my self has about 1/2
lb. a day loss.  At 250 it may be a 1/4 pound.  Below 200, for a man of
my hight, would be a slow process of fat burning until a ratio of about 5%
is reached.  At least, that's what I've been led to understand.

        Everyone wants to be at a certain weight.  This weight goes up
over time, but almost never goes down until muscular atrophy sets in
during old age. NeanderThin resets this point at a lower one.  Atkins said
he has a "unique metabolic edge."  That edge, from what I can tell, is
that it mimics NeanderThin (others would reverse this statement).  The
less alien foods eaten, the lower the fat ratio wants to be.

        With about 50 to go it may be a slow process.  I loose 3-5 lbs a
week, but that's because I'm a tub of lard.  NeanderThin WILL let you eat
more, but it may not let you loose weight very fast.  The last 30 may take
years as your body grinds down to an ideal weight.  The key is to never
stop.
