I have never experienced itching ears, but I have experienced the
infuriating itching soft palate that is part of the hay fever
experience. Although I never had hay fever until recently in my
life, when I did get it it was extreme, even debilitating. Since
starting my version of paleo eating I have been through two May
hay fever seasons. In the first, shortly after starting the diet
(April, 1997) I had some symptoms, but nothing very intense.
This past year I had no symptoms at all. And I eat peanuts, too.
But I am pretty strict about grains and dairy, and I believe
these have been the key to allergy remission for me.
