Ray,
I have explained briefly to a couple of low carbers the Neanderthin WOE and
each one of them said "I thought it was harder than that." I always tell
them to buy the book. I tell them I find this way of eating much easier to
do than Protien Power or Atkins because:
1. Don't need to count anything.
2. I was trying to reduce my artificial sweetner intake anyway so this was
a good reason to do so.
3. I can still have my nut and dried fruit trail mix when I go see my
movies (don't tell the theathers) and not feel guilty about it.
4. I find it very easy to follow.
I occasionaly have a piece of fruit. Mainly when the fruit start to look
good to me in the store and my mouth waters when looking at them. This is
the first WOE that I have been able to walk by the bakery dept or the chip
aisle in the grocery store and not feel deprived.
On the question of low fat - I find if I eat a day of low fat meats (chicken
and fish) by the end of the day after dinner I am still hungry. To take
care of this, I added a few tablespoons of olive oil to those days or a
couple of handfuls of walnuts or other nuts after dinner.
