Thanks to everyone who responded to my email. I received 22 responses
all of which stated that I should wait at least 1 year before
introducing gluten into my son's diet. Many people even suggested
waiting until he is two years old and communicate any discomfort he may
have as a result of eating gluten. Several people encouraged me to
continue breast feeding my son until he is at least a year old. A few
people acknowledged that there is a 'different' smell to a celiac stool.

I guess the most disappointing realization I got from all of your emails
is that my pediatrician should have told me to wait at least a year to
introduce gluten (which many said is now standard practice for ALL
babies). Instead, he said to introduce "wheat" around 6 months. Oh
well.

My son hasn't had any gluten since Monday. His stools are normal, his
charming personality is back, and he is not vomiting. I'm going to keep
him gluten free and continue nursing for a long while.

Thank you for all of your responses and words of encouragement.
