Hi:
I wondered if my "cat box" reference would be unclear. I meant that
dogs will literally eat anything, including what is in the litter box.
I am sure that if "germs" were a problem eating dead frogs, cat poop,
etc. would qualify. I think vets tend to take advantage of human's
anthropomorphic feelings about their beloved pets and as a result have
us treating them like human babies. True, they are our charges and
totally dependent on us and our decisions, but they are different from
us. Did you know that parsley will kill a parrot or that guinea pigs
can eat Prussic acid? My point is - I hope - that we need to find their
paleo needs and supply them. Dogs are semi-scavangers and as such are
generally immune to the things that might make us sick. I know cat poop
would make me sick. I am rambling. Point made?
Love,
Bev
