Low level pain also decreases the quality of sleep for fibromyalgia
patients (I still have some problems with this, even though I've been
gluten-free since last December.) Going dairy-free helped
considerably, so I agree that both these components are important. I
have also just started using 5-HTP (the new serotonin precursor) and
it seems to help me more than melatonin. When my symptoms were more
severe, taking magnesium did help with muscle pain.
