I still think this is a matter of individual preference. Peanuts
are beans, but this is a botanical fact that ancient humans
knew nothing about. Contrary to what is said in Neanderthin,
peanuts are edible raw; I've done it myself. I have no doubt
that they therefore *were* eaten wherever they were found.
Of course, some people are allergic to peanuts. This does not
make them unsuitable for all people.
