> Anybody know if wild wolves do this?

Yes, domesticated dogs and wild wolves all exhibit the behavior of
poop-eating, both their own species and others. It is one of the
ways that they can ingest and digest plant matter and other
nutrients not readily available to them. They don't just go out and
eat fresh veggies (fruit, yes, even my dog will pick her own berries
in August). But they can get those foods through poop-eating, in
addition to pre-pooped stomach contents of prey animals. After one
trip through the alimentary canal, vegetable matter is about right
for them to digest.
