Can't tell unless you read the labels - and even then, you may have to
contact the manufacturer to make sure that there is no possibility of
contamination.
When looking at ingredients, look for milk, whey, casein, sodium caseinate,
lactose, non-fat milk solids, milk fat, and there are others. Better yet,
if you see the word Pareve or Parve and a symbol that indicates that the
item is kosher (there are several), you can be assured that the item
contains no milk.
There are a few brands of pita that do not contain milk. Tortillas
typically don't, but you have to check.
