Kool. I understand the feeling. I spent a good deal of last year wandering
around, between distant site visits, to Daniel Boone locations as I am
supposed to be one of thousands of his desendants. The stonemasonry of the
Nathaniel Boone residence (one of Daniel's sons, and the final long-term
residence of DB) was inspiring to me. DB also carved the fireplace mantles out
of black walnut (intircate repetitive miniature dentils), built the drop
hinges for the doors, and a chest of drawers with secret compartments.
Connecting to your ancestry & family in this way I think is very important.
Thanks for the relating.
