Robert, you should look at the glycemic index of the carbs you consume. Best would be apples,
pears, grapes, peaches, cherries, plums and grapefruit. Worst would be bananas, watermelon,
pineapple, and any dried fruits (raisins, etc.). Also undersirable would be fruit juices.
You want something fresh, and with fiber to slow the glucose spike. You might check out the Zone
diet information. If you eat some protein and fats (like nuts) with the carbs it should help.
