Ratha,

FYI, in Chinese Medicine pumpkin seeds are specifically used as an
"anti-parasite herb." I eat lots of them from time to time without
feeling ill. If you felt ill I suspect you are either allergic to them,
or perhaps you had some parasite that reacted to them.

I actually eat lots of nuts from time to time, but never unless I feel
hungry for them. If I eat them when I'm not particularly hungry for
them I feel bloated and not right afterwards. I have eaten a couple of
pounds of pumpkin seeds when I'm hungry for them, over a 1 or 2 day
period, but then that's the way I eat lots of foods, a lot at once then
none for a while, and it's probably not a good idea for the average
person. I think certain foods will definitely produce negative
reactions in people at different times. Stay away if your gut feeling
tells you to.

regards,

Roberta
