Someone trained well in acupressure can duplicate many acupuncture
effects, since they are based on the same concepts.  Acupressure is what
I did for years before treating with needles, and it can works great.
Acuprssure can indeed release toxins.  To calm down the effects of quick
detoxing you can eat some mung bean sprouts (raw) or soup with cooked
mung beans and brown rice; and toasted nori.
