The following is a pointer to humor that might interest some on this
list. It does not deal directly with raw/living foods, so if that offends
you, please skip this e-mail.

The U.S. television program, "Pinky and the Brain", is a cartoon that
routinely satirizes many of today's trends. The basic premise of the
series are the adventures of two genetically-altered lab mice. These
mice can speak; one is a genius (The Brain), and the other is a real
idiot and a bit crazy (Pinky). The genius, Brain, is a megalomaniac,
and most of their cartoons involve them trying to take over the world,
via bizarre schemes that usually result in disaster for them. Although
written for children, the references to today's events make the program
fun and very "hip" for adults as well. The program is on the WB broadcast
television network in the U.S., and may be syndicated as well.

Anyway, yesterday's program (titled "World Domination Scenario") had some
great moments in it. A group of animal rights activists break into
the lab where Pinky and the Brain live, and "liberate" (kidnap) them.
The animal rights activists are portrayed as animal-abusers who are so
dumb that they cannot tell the difference between a mouse and a monkey.
The AR folks belong to the "Simian Liberation Army" (remember the
Symbionese Liberation Army that kidnapped Patty Hearst many years ago).
Anyway, it's really very, very funny - check it out!

There's another cute moment later, when Brain tries to use reason to
convince some cult-followers that they are on the wrong path. Their
response is denial/ignorance, the same response I sometimes observe
when one challenges extant dietary dogma.

Anyway, even if you are a "serious" adult, I recommend checking out
the above episode of "Pinky and the Brain". Enjoy!

Regards,
Tom Billings
