There's plenty of hatred going on out there on the Net, but the
example you
posted is pretty mild.  Not to trade battle scars, but I've been
flamed a
whole lot worse!  If I were on the receiving end of that post I would
just
ignore the "nonsense" comment as hyperbole and respond to the content
that
follows.  Or I might just ignore the whole thing.  Just because
somebody
gets the last word in doesn't mean they've "won."

Sure you can.  It requires a lot of patience and ego detachment, but
it's a
valuable practice.   If they exploit your tolerance until there's
nothing
left, you weren't really being tolerant in the first place -- your
"tolerance" was conditioned on their acting appropriately.
