Thanks for the note. I think the problem in this case is that the fear of
asbestos, from whatever knowledge base the potential buyer of the house was
operating, was enough to make him walk from purchasing the house. The mere
words "lead" and "asbestos" are enough to send some into a panic. In
Massachusetts the regulations regarding lead and its removal are particularly
bizarre.
