another way to get the desired ice:
blend first, then throw the mixture into an ice machine. Let it cool
down to the desired degree. Longer cooling temperatures give a more
compact ice to the extreme of a hard block if you use fruits high in
water.
Since the ice machine is permanently stirring it almost always pro-
duces a icecream-like substance.
Small ice machines for home usage are available in Germany since 1997
so I think the U.S. which are always some years ahead will have them
too.
My favorite is still the coconut ice which you get if you blend coco-
nut flesh and juice and put it into the ice machine. Very fatty, creamy
and hmmmmmmmmmm!
If one eats this ice while still frozen it is even suited for sceptic
instinctos since the denaturation takes place while thawing, not while
freezing.
