Golly, Mark, if you are refering to me, I was just thinking <<it is important
to face the facts of the situation with honesty. Why? Because I hope the
[vegan] will see the "error of his ways"? No. The real reason is that
we are all literally walking around in a trance, and in those rare moments
when we really face the naked facts, including all of our warts and
contradictions, we are out of the trance. Compared to this, our diet is
really beside the point.>>

Seriously, a little debate on vegan ethics need not be considered a
buzzsaw. And surely there are other pertinent threads from the raw
vegan/vegetarian POV beyond simply the hypocrisy of meat-eaters, isn't
there?

If you expect to preach to the choir here you will probably be
disappointed. If, on the other hand, you want to jump into an interesting
fray, you will be delighted. Don't disappear just because I didn't stand
still for the implications of your ET analogy. It's 50/50 that I'm just
plain wrong, you know?

Cheers,
Kirt
