The following is part of a private email that was sent to me and which
I have edited slightly.

"GC Burger has been arrested in Montrami and jailed in Melun Wednesday
July 2, at midday by the French police for alleged abuse of children.
Several journalists seem to have thoroughly investigated the past and
present "meta" practice, found victims and published last week very
detailed articles (1 to 10 pages) in several magazines of the French
press presenting the most scandalous aspects of Burgers "meta"
teachings (including interviews of him in which he doesn't deny) and
how this seems to have been applied to a number of children in the
group by Burger and some other members of the group, especially in the
recent years.

The first and most informed and detailed article was published in the
magazine "L'Express". The article seems to be quite well informed and
documented. Several former permanent residents of Montrame have
officially testified against Burger. The main news magazine on the
French TV channel one (TF1) opened last Thursday with a five minute
segment with the theme "the raw guru also recommends and teaches the
sexual abuse of children in his sect".

Most children and mothers left the chbteau last week-end and to avoid
arrest in the days that followed most of the residents flew off for an
apparent long-term holiday in Indonesia. Only Burger stayed long enough
to be arrested, uselessly trying to convince the journalists of the
importance of his meta-theory."
