(>So, do any of you folks out there have trouble with nut and seed
 consumption?

Axel:

Not really now, I have been on this NH thing for three years, and raw for
two, and I might have a "problem" with nuts or seeds if I were to eat them
with dried fruit, what I have not done in two years. One posible explanation
for this is that the nut/dried fruit combination sends our minds back to the
memories of junk food pleasure, much of if being basically a mixture of some
form of saturated fat (either animal or hydrogenated) and sugar. Of course,
you can "go for them" with no sugar at all, and still eat more than you
would like.
Another thing that helps me a lot in general is sequential eating,
eventhough I am not convinced that is better for best digestion. In TC Fry's
course, V. Vetrano says it is all the same, the food gets all mixed up in
the stomach. But for my peace of mind and easiness of avoiding overeating,
having the water-rich foods first, and then the nuts, seeds or avos as a
"dessert", is great. Maybe the psychology of "dessert" from our junk food
past is at play here too, because by the time I get to the nuts, my stomach
is already registering that there is something in there, and when the water
of the food is gone, I have already shut down my interest in food. Anyway.
