I just wanted to say that I was told to stop nursing at 1 yr. and my very
allergic to dairy son refused. (I never consumed any dairy when I was
nursing.) He showed absolutely no signs of the desire to give it up. (I
tried every soy milk product and he refused them all.) I nursed well into
the two's and finally really weaned him close to three (when he finally
like Edensoy soymilk, which we had tried before and he refused.) I don't
regret it (although I found it hard to keep it up for so long). I think
his allergies are much better now since we have been so careful about dairy
and I think his body really needed the breast milk.
