Hi Kathy,
I don't mean to bash on your MIL, but Stove Top stuffing and canned gravy
doesn't sound very appetizing. I think I would have run to the store for my
own food regardless of allergies! (I hope I don't offend any canned gravy
cooks out there... I was blessed with wonderful cooks in my family, only the
real thing for me!)
Kathy, I usually make my own pierogies and I also use the sharpest cheese I
can find. That way I don't have to use too much to flavour the filling. I
also put in garlic, and sauted onion with the cheese and potato so I can use
less cheese.
I figure I eat the things twice a year, if I forgo the sour cream and not
have too many, I can put up with the sinus headache the next day. They are
worth it!
