It seems that anything made by Imagine Foods (makers of the Rice Dream
products is not GF), according to listmembers. I called Turtle Mountain,
Inc., in Oregon, the mfr of Sweet Nothings and their person in sales and
marketing said that they cannot affirm that their product is GF, either.
The "natural products" listed on the label contains alcohol from unknown
sources. However, they do NOT use barley or malt in their rice syrup.
I realize that I was incredibly silly by letting him eat an unknown
product before I asked about it. He did show his usual reactions (diarrhea
and behavioral changes), and I feel terrible about bringing it on. He is
obviously extremely sensitive to gluten, regardless of what his blood test
said!
Guess we'll have to wait for Ben to be off his lactose restriction (11
May!) and then he can eat Breyer's. :-)
