I just got a post card about the following event to take place this Friday
night (August 8) in NYC:
Imar Hutchins, author of the raw foods recipe book "Delights of the Garden"
(and owner of the D.C. Restaurant of the same name) will be giving a
"Master Class in Raw Vegetarian Food Preparation"
at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a Delights of the Garden Buffet Dinner.
The event, which costs $20 (or $17 for members of Big Apple Vegetarians)
will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Brecht Forum, 122 West 27th Street, 10th Floor.
Hutchins will also be signing copies of his new book, "30 Days @ Delights of
the Garden: Learning how to eat right and live well in a stressed-out
world." The book is available only through mail order ($15.95 + $4 S&H) or
at this event ($10).
The post card says that the 224-page illustrated book features more than 100
new recipes from the restaurant's menu.
Apparently the book also contains some cooked recipes as well.
I have his previous book, Delight of the Garden. It will be interesting to
see what he's added. Has anyone on the list ever been to his restaurant?
