It is, nevertheless, _possible_ that the trich was at least somewhat
opportunistic. The bottom feeding lobster you ate while you were already
feeling bad surely had a high load of contamination (a bottom feeder
concentrating pollutants from the southern CA coast!!!). Perhaps your
immune system was thrown a real loop dealing with that load of pollutants?
Who knows?
But, admittedly, the finding that you had no trace of heavey metals argues
against it...
The book Pat Stephens recommended a while back, Our Stolen Future, would
make any purist pause for a long moment before discounting pollutants (esp.
hormone mimics!!) as at least a contributing factor in most any illness.
