Oranges slay me, my BGs skyrocket too, but a couple of grapefuit sections
don't seem to bother me. I think it has to do with the ratio of sugar to
fibre. Grapefruit has lots of fibre (rich source of bioflavonoids).
The starch in bananas give me a double whammy, especially ripe bananas
which, BGs the otherside of the moon.
I did find, since I started making jerky, that banana chips made out of
green bananas didn't seem to effect BGs, if and only if, I can eat just a
few, (but I can't, so I've stopped making them).
In order to maintain my 4.7 mmol/L average before meals, I must restrict
fruit.
