Are pistachios paleo?
After being paleo for about three months I decided I needed to stop losing
weight as I was getting very bony. After some experiemtntation I found nuts
to be a great weight stabilizing food. I tried eating more fruit, which
caused me to gain, but also triggered terrible sugar cravings for me,
leading to some very destructive candy bar experiences....
Some good news for any others like me that used to follow rigid low fat
diets and are still not quite comfortable with the idea that fat is a
reasonable food, is that I finally got the courage to get a lipid profile
done after 4 months paleo.
Cholesterol 177
HDL 109
LDL 64
Triglycerides 35
Weightloss 18 lbs
My cholesterol is up slightly (was 160 before) but everything else has
improved bigtime, and I feel wonderful. So Im now a complete convert
