Me too; the lecturing is intolerable. Which is one reason I procrastinate
a lot about going to the dentist; I once went three years without seeing
one. I'm being a bit better about it now, but flossing is almost
impossible, and I can't afford braces. (The dentist suggests them
routinely.)

My experience is also that I have a lot less plaque on low-carb.
Something interesting -- when I eat occasionally cheat and eat milk
products, specifically sugar-free ice cream (yes, I know, not a
Neanderthin-approved item), my teeth do hurt. This isn't related to the
cold; I suspect it has to do with the lactose in the ice cream. I don't
have this problem with cream in my tea. Another incentive NOT to eat the
stuff.
