Just a suggestion you and your wife may wish to try - skip the smoothie for breakfast and eat the
fruit whole - smoothies and juices cause a much greater blood sugar spike/crash than fruit.  I said
goodbye to blood sugar ups and downs the day I stopped drinking juice (fresh or concentrate)
