I am a 60 yr male with celiac disease. Six years ago I was seeing Dr. A,
an internist. He sent me to Dr. B, a gastroenterologist. I was diagnosed
after by biopsy. Life got much better after only a short time on a gf
diet.

Dr. A leaves the clinic to take up practice elsewhere. Things are still
good as Dr. B. is still there. Then Dr. B. became very ill and it looks
like he won't be returning to his practice at the clinic.
Enter Dr. C. the other gut man at the clinic. I don't feel I am getting
the care and concern as before. He readily admits that he is not
treated many celiacs.

Having other problems that I feel may be associated with being a celiac
I start seeing another internist, Dr. D. He did a physical. Results were
good except my glucose was 161. So he started me on a 1800 calorie, low
salt (my sodium level was good), gf diet. He sent me to the dietitian.
Dr. D, also said that he has not seen many celiacs and the dietitian told
me that I was her 3rd after 20 yrs. of practice.
I have not been rescoped in over 6 yrs. I almost inisted on my last visit
that I thought that I should be.

My wife and I both have heard a lot about Dr. Murray in Iowa. I also
realize that he can't take care of all of us, but I certainly would like
to be treated by someone who is treating celiacs on a regular basis.
I live in Northeastern Indiana. I am retired so I can travel.

Does any one have the same problems? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Are there specialist out there for us? How can I get referred?
