I think you are correct.  Every brand of commerical licorice candy I have seen
has wheat as a listed ingredient.  There should be nothing in the bark itself
which involves gluten.

If anyone out there ever finds a gluten free licorice candy, please post it to
the list.  Hundreds of children will be very pleased!
