I asked for recommendations as a substitute for tapioca flour in
gluten-free recipes which called for same.
Quite a few helpful people replied, thanks to all of you!

3 people recommended potato starch as a straight-up substitute

1 recommended potato starch mixed with rice flour

1 recommended using a mixture of 1/2 potato starch and 1/2 sweet rice flour
(he said this would keep the chewiness that tapioca provides)

1 recommended using Sweet Rice flour as a straight-up substitute

1 said that Potato flour worked well for her

1 said that she'd heard Arrowroot flour was a good substitute for tapioca

others sent me some tapioca free recipes

Thanks again!
