Has anyone tried "Instead of Yogurt"? I found some recently and bought
it even though one of the ingredients was listed as "starch Unmodified"
and another was maltodextrin. I called the comopany (Sovex Foods) and
they told me that it has corn but no gluten. It also has the 'good
bacteria' of yogurt, and FOS. What it doesn't have is calcium.
It comes in a powder, which you mix with water and voila, decent tasting
"yogurt." Since I wanted to add calcium for my son, I mix it with
Darifree instead of water. He loves it and has not reacted badly to it.
I didn't know about White Wave having gluten (I did think only the
unflavored version had it and the book I wrote will be out in three
weeks with that error. Oh well...) Anyway, if you miss White Wave see
how you do with this.
