Does anyone know a metaphor for NeanderThin? The metaphor is some object
from mythology that the owner HAS to cary around at all times, or will be
totally messed up. The only thing I can think of off hand is the mirror
of the Lady of Shalot, but I was thinking of somthing that also granted
the owner power.

NeanderThin is like that. You can eat a few pounds of beef jerky and be
fine, but two bites from a slim jim made me rather ill for about an
hour. Once you start, it has to be a total comitment or you fall ill.
And if you ever stop, your body will rebel totally.

But on the good side there's no starvation.
