Hi everybody,

Another cold, rainy Sunday, just as I'm trying to get back on track after
the big breakout binge of '97 (also known as my vacation). I did OK for
the first few days, but first was my mother-in-law's birthday, and I didn''t
want to be a jerk, then came Disney World, not exactly a raw organic
haven. I experimented with taking food enzymes before cooked meals,
and can't say I noticed any digestive improvement when I took them
over when I didn't. All in all, felt pretty hung over by the end of the
week.
I was suprised to walk into a NFS there in Fort Myers and find
BarleyGreen. I was under the impression it could only by ordered
through an independent distributer. Perhaps the store owner is one
such being. Only unpasteurized juices I could find were frozen.

Oh well, enough of that. I have some miscellaneous questions and
comments for the group:

Kirt:
Interesting idea you brought up a while back about raw
foods assisting in detoxing their cooked equivalent. Would this mean it
would be useful to use raw dairy products to help with all the years of
pasteurized-milk abuse?

Bodhi:
Do you know anything about Stueve's Dairy practices? How
are they legally able to provide raw dairy products? Do they use the
daily antibiotics practice described by Dr. Howell in Enzyme Nutrition?
I find their products readily available here in SB but wouldn't want to
support that sort of practice if there's a better alternative.

Kelly,
Glad you de-lurked and I hope you will find time to post more
often to the list. I think we (the rest of us) would all be better off
for it! I like your balanced approach.

Peter,
Thanks for the compliment, about my pro-vegan arguments.
I feel kind of sad about it, though, being that I'm a mere vegan
wannabe. I miss Sandy. She was (I mean *is*) the real thing and
never dogmatic or judgmental.

Anybody,
Do you guys like avocados w/o salt? I *love* them with just
a little salt, but usually can't palate them without any. Does this mean
 my body doesn't need them?

Meredith,
About that Iranian or Armenian guy, Hovanessian, was that
the name? Are you the one who has his book? I'm curious if he ate
meat and/or other RAFs?

There are some individual posts I want to reply to, but that will have
to wait. I've already spent the last (too many) hours catching up on the
list (167 posts awaited me upon my return), neglecting my family. Plus
I have to go to the archives to find whatever I missed when I was
bumped to the Bounces list for reasons unknown last week.

Cheers to all,
Martha
