About a year ago, I spent considerable time searching the WEB and going
thru studies on MEDLINE and other sources to find something positive to
say about dietary "Saturated Fats" -- to be honest, it was frustrating
and almost to no avail.

Every site and every journal seemed to present a strong case against,
but my list of "Pros" was near zip.

Yet, personally, I've done very well on dietary saturated fats from
yogurt, cheese, eggs & mostly a variety of meat sources.

My once high triglycerides are normal, as is my cholesterol plus my A1c
demonstrates good diabetic control, significantly below the *hazard*
line.

I've backed off much of the dairy, but still am forced by reason of the
bacteria and enzymes they provide to consume some, as I don't do very
well with many vegetables and absolutely refuse to eat fruit of any kind
because of my postprandial increase takes me out of normal range unless
I were to use antidiabetics which I'm not prepared to return to insulin
and/or orals till *hamburger* fails me (and so far it hasn't).

I contribute much of my success with saturated fat consumption -- but I
can neither prove it nor find any "comforting" sources for it's support
:(

So, I too would be interested in "any info as to why saturated fats are
ok?"

Grant
