Ben, I had almost the same exact problems exact my back pain was between
the shoulder blades and not the lower back. Massage helped alot too (I
forgot to mention this); I went every week for about 20 weeks
What Roberta said about intent of the healer/practitioner is SO IMPORTANT.
But also remember, that regardless of the cause of your FM/CFS (which seems
to be widely different among people), the body still has the power to heal
itself, and most alternative therapies, including nutrition, work on that
principle of self-healing. So in the end it doesn't matter how you got
there, since the damage to the HPA axis/ vascular system/ immune system is
there. Do look at the licorice website and read about nitric oxide. I
don't like all his allopathic solutions, but I do think he is onto
something. And since flax oil and other EPA's help to reduce NO, we can
probably do the same with good nutrition that he is advocating with drugs.
