I learned about "rabit starvation" in school, so I'm a bit less
fat-phobic, although I would like to try some game meats.

Maybe that can help you in the start. But in the long term the
effects of restricted food is going to mean that you're body will assume
you're on another damned diet. This is especially dangerious on low
carbs, according to the nay-sayers, because you're body might decide that
protine is more effiencient and expendable then your fat reserves.
Eat a strip of bacon at every meal. Remember on Tuesday how I
said I didn't like it? I love it now, and it's only Friday.

It's a gigantic leap. I'll have to see if I can pick some up.
I'm very proud that you're re-learning the Ancient Wisdom.
Don't push to hard, though. I usually eat one low-fat meal a day
(salad with turky and a little ham, with a strip of bacon for flavor).
Science in the Public Interest O.K.ed stakes. They agreed with
us and said that the real problem with eating steaks is eating cheese
fries and onion rings. Even though modern cows are agriculturalized to
hell and back, steaks are still quite edible.
        Mmmmm. Salami.
