I've been doing LOTS of job interviewing, and playing daggerfall
on the off hours. I should be ready to start typing more of Zerzan's
essay on Monday. (I don't have a scanner).
I got some uncured bacon this morning. It tastes like leathery
strips of pork chops. I'm going down from 8 to 4 slices until I start to
like it. On the upside, it appears to have a LOT less fat, but I'm just
doing a visual once over.
Since I swore of mystery meat and dextrose, life is a lot
tougher, and so is the food. Orientation with the Pinkertons should
start soon, unless I fail to get a gaurd permit for some bizzare reason.
I'll just chill until then. The tough thing may be packing lunch. It
looks like I have two options, make $pemmican$, or pack some fruits,
nuts, and berries. My grandma was kind enough to get me a meat
dehydrator. I figure if one batch makes two pounds, and 1/4 pound is a
meal, then alternating between carnivore and vegitarian lunches should
give me two weeks to a batch. Plus a box of Power Raisins every day
(maybe two) as a between meal snack.
I discovered that I did like a tablespoon of olive oil on my
salad. (It's a vegitable oil, so I do messure it out).
Some questions: How do you make pork rinds? I've got one "free"
with my bacon, I was wondering how I was supposed to turn it into a high
fat snack? Also, what spices should I use to turn the olive oil into
"sub dressing?" I love subs.
