FWIW, instinctos "discovered" a tropical fruit called cassia (caro fistula,
or "golden shower" tree, found around the world in the tropics) which often
tastes exactly of chocolate. Further, the fruit proves to be a powerful
detoxer, increasing the permeability of cell walls and expediating the flow
of toxins out of the colon (yeah, you get the serious squirts at first ;)).
Anyway, one hears the idea bantered around that people go nuts for
chocolate because they "instinctively" need cassia. Curiously, this would
jive with the idea that the farther north one goes the SADder the diet
(though I've never seen proof of such a claim).
Just keeping y'all up on the instincto lore... ;)
Cheers,
