There are now spy satellite photos (much lower resolution than CIA/NSA's no doubt) available to the public, any location (I imagine some "national security" sensitive areas may be blacked out.) I remember reading a sci-fi story long ago in which a large number of citizens were "wired" as "witnesses" who recorded whatever they saw... The police are well known for confiscating or breaking video cameras aimed at them....
Our rights? Trampled in the dirt.
Constant media and political campaigning to enhance facist police state mentality.
The U.S. imprisons a greater proportion of citizens than any other country.
Crime rates are dropping for 5 years, but more prisons and longer sentences are being promoted. Prisons are becoming big business. Private security firms are operating prisons on a contract basis. Wackenhut, a notorious mercenary agency among others.
All of this fear mongering, anti-gun legislation, the arming of municipal police forces with military weaponry...
It ties right in with any and every other abuse of our supposed rights.
It all sucks.
