I believe than an endocrinologist can do a lot of things in addition to
prescribing estrogen...  By definition, an endocrinologists studies the
output of the endocrine system in the body.  In this case he/she may
prescribe estrogen/progesterone, but may also find that other endocrine
glands are not doing their job properly and suggest other medications.  GK
