Apart from the "guru of pedophelia" headline, the photo of the kids
playing in the nude and the photo of Nicole which gave the impression
she was still alive, the article struck me as to sticking to the facts.

>A serious newspaper would never have reported the story this way.

Unless the publication has distorted facts which so far nobody has
suggested, I am more concerned with the accusations brought against G.C
Burger than the quality of the reporting.

I forget if the anecdote about the little daughter is from G.C.Burger
but if it is we only have his dubious interpretations as a pedophile of
what his daughter's actions or motives meant.

>I think there will be lots of ambiguous situations if you are
practising some kind of instinctive child rearing.

I disagree. "Ambiguous situations" are only ambiguous for persons with
pedophile tendencies.

>A lot of situations would be plainly condemned by society because
>they don't understand them.

This is can be of a concern as there in recent years has been a fair
amount of incest & child abuse hysteria involving false accucations
brought on by overzealous child psychologists and social workers. If I
were living in South Carolina, I am not sure I would let it be known
that my daughter and I liked to fool around naked in the bed or bath
tub. :-/

>What I would like to have, is some idea how to deal with these situa-
>tions. Can you give me a hint here? Frustrating your child by denying
>its needs will definitely not be the solution. So what do you suggest?

Children often use play-acting as a way to explore the world around
them but they have absolutely no need for sexual encounters with
adults. The frustration is not with the children but with the grown-ups
whose boundaries as children were not respected and who now have a need
to act-out by getting the children to comply to their own perverted
needs.

>Until Mr. Burger is judged to be guilty as accused I won't speak of
>him as a criminal child abuser.

I am sure that in your heart you know he is.

>But his record looks as bad as the current accusations.

Indeed. They make the charges against O.J.Simpson look like pure
conjecture. ;-)

>Personally I don't feel dependent on Mr. Burger or anyone else.

And if you did I am sure you would have no problem admitting it in
public. ;-)

>I'm just sad, that the rediscoverer of instinctive nutrition showed

Unfortunately, he never received treatment for his condition. Even if
the sexual abuse of children at Montrame always was expressed without
violence or threats (which I doubt), the trauma from any kind of sexual
abuse is so insidious and devastating that his victims are likely to be
suffering from its consequences for the rest of their lives.

Let me talk to Dave first before I answer this question in full.
