I couldn't find the Vancouver mailing address of the International Biogenic
Society that I received from Rev. David Owen of the Essene Church in Oregon.
It probably doesn't matter, as I wrote them several weeks ago and never
received a reply. Here's the address from the back of my copy of "The
Essene Gospel of Peace":

I. B. S. Internacional
Box 205
Matsqui, B. C.
Canada V0X 1S0

The above is a forwarding address; I think the I.B.S. is actually in Costa
Rica.

Since writing to the I.B.S., I found that some of Szekeley's books are
carried by New Leaf Distribution, a book distributor based in Georgia
(Lithia Springs). New Leaf is wholesale only, but a bookstore could
order book(s) for you from them. I have two books on order. Listed
below are some of the potentially relevant titles from the New Leaf
catalog, with ISBN and prices listed. (I run the bookstore at a yoga
center as a volunteer service; we order from New Leaf so it is easy
for me to get the books that way).

All below by E. B. Szekeley

Essene Way: Biogenic Living 0-89564-019-8 $8.80
Scientific Vegetarianism 0-89564-041-4 $3.50

Biogenic Revolution 0-89564-021-X $9.50
The First Essene 999-114692-X $9.50
(the above two are from the 1977 and 1979 International Essene-Biogenic
seminar)

Book of Living Foods 0-89564-039-2 $3.50

Leukocytes

The most referenced work on leukocytosis and cooked food is the short
paper by Kouchakoff:

The Influence of Food on the Blood Formula of Man, P. Kouchakoff, First
International Congress of Microbiology, Paris 1930.

Kouchakoff also wrote a book that may be relevant. However it is in French;
here's a library database listing on it:

    1. Call #: Q67 .L44 v.5 Main Stack

          Author: Kouchakoff, Paul.

Title: Nouvelles lois de l'alimentation humaine basees sur la
leucocytose digestive, par P. Kouchakoff. (Travail
presente a la seance du 2 decembre 1936.).
                   p. [319]-348 incl. tables, diagrs. 25 cm.

           Notes: Bibliographical foot-notes.

        Subjects: Leucocytes.
                   Metabolism.

Contained in: Memoires de la Societe vaudoise des sciences naturelles.
                     Lausanne, 1937. no. 39, v. 5, no. 8.

If you look for the subject: leukocytes (or leucocytes) in a large library
(computerized) card catalog, you will find many books listed. Similarly
a search in MEDLINE or NEXIS for the words leukocytosis or leucocytosis
will give you a large list of references. Given the article/book titles
you will be able to screen out most of them. Still, there might be a lot
left to look through! It might be easier to start with the references
cited in the books by Howell, and go from there.
