I've been diagnosed with CD and have been on a GF diet for about five
weeks. The gastrointestinal symptoms are almost completely resolved now,
but I've also had recurring lower back and hip pain which (pending
additional testing) has been diagnosed as sacroileitis (infalmmation of the
sacroiliac joint). The orthopedic specialist I saw said that sacroileitis
is often associated with CD.
 
Do others on this list have similar problems? Does the GF diet eventually
resolve this type of pain? I'd appreciate hearing about other folks
experiences with diagnosis and treatment.
