Leafy greens, and also carrots and beets, are good for the liver. But,
like Doug suggests, you may want to start out slow.

When you fast (or go on an all fruit diet) the cells of your body release
toxins into your bloodstream and lymphatic system. Then your liver and
kidneys have to remove the toxins from your system. If you have liver
problems then it may not be able to handle the released toxins. This
could be what is causing the pimples and other symptoms. Adding greens
and vegetables may reduce the rate of detox and help your liver handle the
level of toxins.

Mercury in fillings can be a big source of toxins in the body. It can
strain the ability of your body to remove toxins.

I have had all the mercury fillings removed. My suggestion is, if you
want to go this route, to find a dentist who believes in this and has a
lot of experience with it. The fact is that putting in non-mercury
fillings is more work for the dentist and requires a lot of knowledge on
his part. An inexperienced dentist who doesn't believe in it may offer to
do it for you but probably won't do a very good job. Dentists charge more
for the non-mercury fillings and the additional cost is not covered by
dental plans. But I figured my health was important and went ahead and
spent the money.

Its also good if the dentist can help you with detoxing the mercury in
your system or refer you to someone who can. Doug has posted about this
in the past and probably knows more about it.

Good Luck.
