Hello, this is Axel. I have read this and your yesterdays post, and just
wanted to say I agree with what you are saying, the idea in my opinion is
learning, exchanging info (this has been a great place for me to do so, I
have heard new ideas and suggestions), and debating with an open mind and a
spirit of cooperation. I have to admit, though, that my very first reaction
to the idea of RAF (Bob Avery had to tell me what the meaning was) was one
of quick automatic "no!", simply due to the fact I have such passion for the
respect of animals and for the last couple of years have read quite a lot
about veganism from all points of view. However, soon after I started
getting 20 or 30 messages every night, I changed my mind completely, because
basically I felt that what was being said about RAF was serious, and not
some kind of ethical justification. I am still ignorant on the subject
either to condemn it or recommend it, but in a way it has forced me to
change my speech, I no longer feel the absolute certainty I used to feel
about recommending a raw vegan diet to everybody with any kind of health
problem. I don't even feel so confident about all raw! I am still eating
this way, couldn't try RAF today, even if somebody told me I would regain
my health instantly and completely. Still elaborating on this subject, letting
my mind and heart and guts and cultural vegan conditioning find a way out of
this riddle. I have a whole lot of questions about many implications of RAF,
but since everyday something new pops up in my brain, I rather wait.
Yesterday Kirt said his cells new better than anybody else ( I am not trying
to quote you, Kirt) what he needed and when. I respect this position, only
that I am still unable to split myself and look at an animal without any
cultural conditioning whatsoever. What is the proposed ideal instincto
world, if there is any?
Best regards to all, and hope the mature and well-thought post keep
appearing in my e-mail account.
